Midway Chamber Passes Resolution of Support for On Board Midwest
On Board Midwest
In support of the High Speed Rail Line from Saint Paul, Minnesota to Chicago, Illinois:
The Midway Chamber of Commerce agrees to support and participate in joint advocacy efforts on
behalf of the high speed rail line from Saint Paul, Minnesota to Chicago, Illinois via Madison, and
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
As an organization, we see the long-term economic benefits of this project to our region. We strongly
urge elected leaders in all three states and Washington D.C. to pursue federal and local funding to
make this project reality. High speed rail creates immediate jobs and employment down the road,
creates improvements in freight shipping, increases the movement of people for work and leisure and
propels our economy into the 21st century.
